What is Bountii?
Bountii is a price search engine for electronics and appliances that finds lower prices than any other price comparison service.
How can I find the product I'm interested in buying?
Simply type one or more terms that describe the product you're looking for into the search box and hit the "Enter" key or click the "Search" button.
You can also include a product's model number ("MA627LL/B" for an "Apple 16GB iPod Touch") or the name of a store ("Amazon", "Costco", etc) in your search.
Model number searches are particularly effective if you're searching for a specific product.
Can I exclude certain products from my search results?
Yes, you can use a negative term when your search phrase encompasses products other than ones you're interested in.
For instance, the search phrase Epson R1900 can produce a result set that includes both printers and ink cartridges. To focus your search on printers, simply place a minus sign ("-") in front of "cartridge" and include it in your search phrase (i.e. Epson R1900 -cartridge ).
Also, say you're interested in the Canon Powershot SD1100 Digital Camera, but don't want the silver model. In your search phrase, include "silver" as a negative term (i.e. Canon Powershot SD1100 -silver ).
How can I search prices on two different products at once?
Separate terms by a vertical slash ("|").
So if you wanted to look at prices on two specific 46" HDTVs from Samsung and Panasonic, you might search: LN46A650|TH46PZ85U .
More generally, you can combine the results of two search phrases like Garmin Nuvi 360 and Garmin Nuvi 660 , by searching Garmin Nuvi 360|660 .
Do I purchase products directly from Bountii?
No, our service lets you see which store has the best price on the product you're interested in. To purchase a product you see on Bountii, simply click the "Go to Store" button on any of our product pages and you'll be taken to a store's website where you can checkout.
Points
What are points?
Points are Bountii's virtual currency. We award points to people who help us improve our service by helping us find the lowest possible prices for products. Performing certain functions on Bountii, like starting a price hunt, requires a user to spend his points.
How do I earn more points?
The best way to earn points is to participate in a price hunt. Other actions on the site also earn you points, but those will remain a surprise for now.
What can I spend my points on?
Right now, points can only be used to start a price hunt on a product. See Price Hunting for more information.

What is a Price Hunt?
A price hunt is a challenge to find a better price at a quality store than you can find on Bountii for a particular product. Be the first to tell us a lower price, and we'll award you cash or points.
What is the prize for winning a price hunt?
The prize for winning a price hunt is cash and/or points. You can see the amount of the prize on the product page where you submit your price hunt entry.
Can I start my own price hunt?
We are beta testing this feature. It is only available to a limited number of users at this time.
How do I participate?
When a product is included in one of our ongoing Price Hunts you'll see a short form on the product page where you can tell us how to get a lower price.
What happens when I tell Bountii about a lower price?
After we verify that your price meets our requirements, we email you to let you know if you were the first to submit a valid deal.
What requirements must my price meet to earn the Bountii?
- It needs to be at least $1 lower than the best price that Bountii displays for the same product, including tax and shipping to most states.
- Price must not include savings that are a result of using a certain payment method (e.g. PayPal, Google Checkout, Sears Card).
- It must be for the purchase of a brand new product (i.e. not "refurbished", "factory-renewed", "open-box", etc).
- Price should be available to anyone. Prices that are exclusively for members of a club or require a one-time use coupon are not valid.
- The entire checkout process must be handled online and not take advantage of any bugs in the store's website.
- If your price includes rebates or other forms of cashback savings, they must be offered by the store or manufacturer.
- The store must be accepting orders for the product at your specified price.
- In-store pickup should not be required to get your price.

The price needs to be offered by a reputable online store:
- - Any store you see on Bountii qualifies.
- - If you submit a price from a store not on Bountii, we will evaluate the store based on name recognition, online reviews, Better Business Bureau rating, company size, and date established.
- - Stores that sell their products on other storefronts like Amazon and Buy.com do not qualify.
- - Additionally, stores not found on Bountii must be authorized by the manufacturer to sell the product.
