Now available for order at our stores are a couple new N Series GSM phones from Nokia, the N79 and N85. In its press release, Nokia says, “The N79 is a technology powerhouse. It offers a full range of multimedia experiences including integrated navigation, music with FM transmitter, high-speed connectivity, superior web browsing, at least 10 pre-loaded N-Gage games and an advanced 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics…” For those still wanting more out of their cell phone, check out the N85 which an OLED display for longer battery life, twice the storage capacity of the N79 as well as an FM transmitter. Now available to order is the HP Mini 1000 Series Notebook PC. HP is just one of many manufacturers getting serious about “netbooks”, which has come to mean small, light and cheap notebook. The Mini 1000 from HP comes with an 8.9- or 10.2-inch BrightView display; however, its resolution is lower than that found in its sibling, the HP Mini-Note 2133. Several sources on the web have commented on this notebook’s sturdy construction and comfortable keyboard, which makes it stand out amid similar products from Asus, Acer and others. Over a month ago, we wrote about Apple’s updated line of iPods. In that post we conveniently linked to Bountii’s price search results for each new player and, in recent weeks, a good many of you have asked us to do the same for their updated line of notebooks. So here they are!

MacBook:

“Building upon the industry-pioneering form-factor, ergonomics and features of its predecessors, but with an updated exterior” is the ASUS EEE PC S101. This is the latest netbook from ASUS which they hope will compete well against the slick netbooks coming out of HP and Lenovo. Read more in ASUS’s press release.

Now available at our stores are two LCD photo frames from Sony, the DPF-D80 and DPF-D100. These are the first photo frames from Sony to come with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which eliminates black borders around photos allowing them to fill up the screen. Sony says, “In addition to providing high-quality LCD screens, these models have an advanced image processing feature that quickly decodes and displays images… and have 200MB of available capacity, so you can store hundreds of photos to the device.” Like most photo frames you can load pictures via USB into its internal memory or via an removable memory card. Since rolling out this section a couple weeks ago, we’ve seen numerous shopper’s questions answered. Questions have ranged from wanting to know the dimensions of a microwave to Bluetooth capability of a particular laptop to buying one Garmin GPS model over another. And, of course, we’ve been asked some questions about Bountii as well like how you can track price changes and if we directly sell products (We do not).

Now available at our stores is the Cowon O2, which is a very sleak multimedia player. Available in pink, white and black as well 8GB, 16GB and 32GB sizes, this MP4 player’s 4.3-inch touch screen is nearly 25% larger than the one found on the iPod Touch. Other noticeable differences from the iPod Touch include 30% longer video playback and an SD card slot. Sounds compelling, but I’d still go with an iPod Touch if I were in the market for a portable media player.

Now available from our stores is the Sony VAIO LV Series, which is an All-In-One Desktop PC with a 24-inch LCD display. Most of the models within the LV Series include a Blu-ray drive for recording and playing content. Sony says, “An industry-unique-feature in an all-in-one PC, the LV model features a 1080p capable HDMI input so you can connect your compatible HD cable box, satellite receiver or PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system via a single cable and enjoy HD entertainment without powering on the PC.” Also included are a wireless keyboard and wireless network adapter that, coupled with its floating mirror design, make it a perfect fit anywhere in your home. Now available at our stores is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, which is a 12.1-megapixel digital SLR camera. It is the first interchangeable lens camera to offer consumers a choice of colors (black, blue and red) and weighs less 50% less than the average digital SLR. Panasonic says, “the LUMIX G1 is loaded with features that both entry-level and more experienced DSLR users will appreciate… including Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto mode found across the LUMIX line of cameras…” Read more in Panasonic’s press release.

Now available for order at our stores are Samsung’s first notebook PCs. Their lineup includes the Samsung Q310, Samsung X360, Samsung X460, Samsung P560 and Samsung R610, which fall into the categories: “Premium Thin & Light, All Purpose, Business and Desktop Replacement.” Among these notebooks, no feature stands out besides price which stems from the fact that Samsung makes 60% of the components that go into these PCs.
